Collaborative working

The collaborative practice involves resolving issues between partners through negotiation and through a series of meetings with each other and with both partners’ solicitors. The only correspondence is to sort out administrative matters and the process focuses on achieving a solution, which is fair to both partners and protects the children and helps everyone to move forward in their lives. Because the process is completely non-confrontational it has the benefit of maintaining relationships between both parents and the children and a mutual respect for a working relationship for the partners in the future. It avoids the stress and high cost of court proceedings. Jacky Lewis is a collaborative lawyer and can work with other lawyers collaboratively.
